How to prepare your files for printing

Artwork specification plastic cards

All images must be at least 300 DPI.

The dimensions of the card are 85.4mm x 54 mm

An additional 3mm bleed area (continuous artwork) extends beyond the card dimensions. This gives an overall image size of 91.4mm x 60mm.

In the printing world, resolution is everything. In order to ensure that your plastic cards don’t end up blurry, pixilated or unreadable, it is important that the files you send be saved at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi to ensure sharp image and text.

It’s also important that the file be converted to CMYK mode before it is sent.

We do not print files sent in RGB mode (which is really designed for on screen viewing only) as CMYK is the standard for all our plastic card printing. CMYK mode assures that the final product will remain true to your original color scheme. With both the minimum resolution and correct CMYK mode, you can rest assured there will be no nasty surprises.
